This series emerged from an exploration of process as identity, where creation itself becomes the subject. The garments were not sourced, but made from scratch by the model, Ahmed, using burlap, thread, and time as the foundation. The work removes external references, focusing instead on what is built directly by hand and shaped through intention.

The space was constructed as part of the concept, wrapped and controlled to isolate the subject from distraction. This environment was not designed to beautify, but to contain stillness and amplify texture. Movement was minimal, allowing weight, surface, and presence to define each frame. Light interacted directly with raw materials, revealing imperfections and depth without softening their character.

The outcome is a body of work grounded in process and physicality, where maker and subject become one within the same narrative. It exists between documentation and expression, holding a tension between control and rawness. The final series carries a sense of restraint and truth, where nothing is staged beyond what is necessary, and everything visible is part of the build.
